Ecclesiastes & Me

Short and sweet- I could have authored that book of the bible, no sweat. I go in and out of those thoughts almost daily, more frequently here lately. It will ebb, I know, because I've been here before. But that's the irony of it. Cycling around and around, in and out "everything is meaningless." Truth is our salvation, but it's not always sweet salvation. :) Yes, there can be great meaning in life and the quotidian tasks that sometimes occupy it, but we may not feel like it means something... ever. Big bummer, you know?! Ugh! Why can't the meaningful, powerful, purposeful moments we experience leave longer lasting impressions on us than the chasing after the wind moments? How about you? Do you get bogged down in Ecclesiastes Land? How do you escape the apathy it can sometimes inspire?
